Meet Our People
As an foreign exchange student in Canada during the 1990s, I suddenly found myself surrounded by more internationals than I could have imagined. Food brought us together, and cooking, sharing different treats from everyone's home countries kept friends bonded. The power of food is evident, and it shaped my life-long interest in multi-cultural foods and drinks.
In the past 20 years, I have traveled to over 50 countries in search for unique local delicacies and drinks. I even attended the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in France in attempts to fill the large gap of the unknown in the culinary world. I discovered during my travels that everywhere, food changes distinctively according to the climate, people and even politics and religion of the region. Naturally, I found myself becoming a part of the trEAT's FOOD family: Eat Food to Discover the World.
